When you add books to BookStates, this information becomes part of our shared book database that serves all users. This includes book titles, authors, publication details, and cover images.

Important: Book information you contribute will remain in our database even after you delete your account, as it serves our community of readers. However, your personal reading data (progress, notes, highlights) will be completely removed upon account deletion.

BookStates uses artificial intelligence to provide personalized insights, reading recommendations, and motivational content based on your reading patterns and preferences.

Your reading data may be processed by AI systems to generate these insights, but this processing happens securely within our systems and is not shared with third-party AI providers in a way that could identify you personally.
